It should come as no surprise that as a photographer I know very little about banking. Sure, I can keep track of income and expenses and save a little for a rainy day, but that’s about it. Fortunately for me, an advanced degree in finance is not a prerequisite for photographing bankers! So, for the past several years I have been quite lucky to work alongside the great and ever-growing team at Intrepid Investment Bankers in Los Angeles. Going far beyond standard corporate headshots, I’ve worked with their internal marketing team to create a large image library that highlights their individual talents and the overall corporate culture, as well as showcases some of their many happy clients. I’ve attended meetings, company happy hours and retreats, visited clients at their headquarters and of course, shot many, many headshots and environmental portraits of their talented staff, from analysts on their first day to senior execs and founding partners. The images are primarily used on their company website, but also a range of other needs, such as marketing materials and pitch decks. It’s even become an annual tradition to do a silly shot with the outgoing interns, such as the one above, which was made on the rooftop facing views of downtown from their West LA offices. While I generally have no idea what they’re talking about, it’s always a fun time visiting their offices and is something I look forward to throughout the year. Here are a handful of favorites created over the past several.
